We are beyond thrilled to share that Social Currant has been named a finalist for four Anthem Awards!

The Anthem Awards, founded by the Webby Awards, recognize the most impactful purpose-driven work across causes including climate, human rights, and humanitarian action, and being named a finalist is one of the highest honors in the impact space. We’re incredibly proud, and deeply grateful to the creators, partners, and communities who made this work possible.

Two campaigns earned us these nominations:

Make Polluters Pay: Turning Public Grief into Political Action

When the LA wildfires devastated California communities in early 2025, Make Polluters Pay came to us with a challenge: how do you cut through the noise of disaster coverage and Big Oil greenwashing to demand real corporate accountability?

Together, we worked with climate creator Lauren Bash to connect the disaster to Big Oil’s role in driving it and mobilize audiences around California’s Superfund Bill, a first-of-its-kind proposal to make oil companies pay for the damage they’ve caused. Her content sparked a wave of creator participation across platforms, generating 17.5 million views, 1.48 million engagements, and more than 10,000 petition signatures. That initial viral moment laid the groundwork for a long-term creator program built around rapid response and sustained climate advocacy.

The National Immigration Law Center: Bring Jackie Home

On June 28, 2025, Jackie Merlos was arrested at a family picnic alongside her four U.S. citizen children and taken into ICE detention. Her family needed public attention fast, and because the National Immigration Law Center had spent months building real relationships with mission-aligned creators before any crisis arose, they were ready to move within days.

Creator content about Jackie’s detention reached 3.9 million people. A petition demanding her release crossed 5,000 signatures. And on October 27, 2025, Jackie walked out of ICE detention and went home to her kids, the result of NILC’s legal advocacy, the organizers who showed up, and the public pressure the creator program helped generate.
